Development of personal drawing

I've decided to draw flowers because they're beautiful to have around and brighten a room so it will be nice to have lots around and lose myself in drawing them. Ive started by doing line drawings playing with the shapes, lines and compositions. Although i now feel more confident in drawing flowers i want to get more playful and push myself further.

Life Drawing

I really enjoyed life drawing which surprised me as i have previously struggled to get anything out of it. The way the class was taught and the atmosphere allowed me to relax and just draw. i wanted to experiment with colour and line and compostion and am really pleased with these drawings.i love the colours and the shapes and the playful feel they have to them. Some did not turn out quite so well but never the less they moved me forward. The more you draw the better you'll get i hope?

Heres some of my jewellery ideas made. The two below are a combination of the decorated alluminiunm, handmade chains and vintage fabrics. I really enjoyed making these and am in the process of taking the idea further. watch this space.

I have always enjoyed using collage and experimenting with patterns and therefore have a large collection of paper, fabrics, buttons and other bits and bobs i've collected over the years. i wanted to put these to use and create beautiful objects out of things usually disregarded. my inspiration comes from flowers and the shapes within the flowers and also the patterns within the paper and fabric.
This work has developed as i have worked and i have become more playful with colours, size and pattern. i hope this comes across, i wanted the pieces to be fun and beautiful and something you just want to touch. i have also included metal in this work and have handmade many of the chains. metal has always been a key interest of mine so i want to continually be incorporating it in my work.
